Group Exercise Class Descriptions

 

Each class at inFIT is suitable for all fitness levels but some classes are more intense than others. Please check the class description for an approximate intensity level and always let the instructor know if you are new (less than five classes attended) to the format. Various options and levels will be shown during class so that your workout is best for YOUR BODY. Our class formats offered include some of the following:

 

Join Amy in this 45 minute class with a heavy emphasis and focus on the core, which includes not only the abdominal muscles but hip/pelvic muscles and the spinal
muscles. The last portion of class will focus on foam roll release.  Foam rolling is a way of massaging away muscle soreness in trigger points and preparing your muscles for deeper stretching. 
This class will combine cardio and strength training. We will do intervals of 10 minutes on the bike and 5 minutes of weights for a total of 45 minutes. You will torch calories during class with the constant movement and continue to burn calories after from the addition of strength training.
Yoga sculpt is a total body workout combining traditional yoga sequencing with strength training designed to sculpt and tone every major muscle group in the body. This heated yoga class is set to energizing music and will push your strength to new heights. Strength training exercises such as squats, lunges, tricep and bicep curls and push-ups are incorporated throughout the practice to build lean muscle mass. This class will challenge individuals at all fitness levels. Don't forget water and a towel!
This class gives you maximum calorie burn while toning muscles. There will be 3 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes of strength, and 1 minute of abs that is repeated for a tremendous workout.
 
This interval class format will challenge beginners, so be sure to drink plenty of water and take breaks often!
Get it ALL done in 55 minutes! 30 minutes of Cardio and 30 mintutes of strength! Great music and a great workout!
This total body workout will challenge your cardio,strength and endurance levels.
Using Kettle Bells, BOSU, Stability Ball, Resistance Bands and more to strengthen your core, improve your balance and tone your body.
This class combines Bars & Plates along with Kettlebells for a unique strength opportunity that will keep your heart rate up while working a wide variety of muscle groups.
Body Weight Bootcamp will challenge the cardio and strength of participants, using your own bodyweight instead of equipment.

This combination class includes two Les Mills formats. BODYPUMP™ is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 45-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai.
Boot Camp will challenge the cardio and strength of participants.

Boot Camp YOGA is a total body workout combining traditional yoga sequencing with strength training designed to sculpt and tone every major muscle group in the body. Boxing fusion incorporates kickboxing moves, cardio drills and strength training in an interval format sure to challenge every fitness level.
This class is a total body conditioning class that incorporates proper breathing, stretching between every exercise and a final relaxation at the end of class with a focus on the power house of the body...THE CORE!
 
This class is perfect for beginners and advanced fitness enthusiasts as you can set your pace and resistance!

Condition your heart and burn calories in this cardio training class focused on cardio drills. Rotate through stations of cardio using various equipment such as the BOSU, stability ball, step and your own body movements. Each cardio circuit class is different; you'll be sure to get a great cardio workout. All fitness levels welcome!
55 minutes of mixed formats including Strike, Kickboxing, Tabata, Cardio Drills, Step, BOSU, and abs. Designed to strengthen the cardiovascular system, tone muscles, and boost balance, flexibility, endurance and speed.
This descending ladder style cardio workout done either whole group or circuit style is sure to get an ascending calorie burn.

This high-energy workout challenges the beginner and elite athlete alike. Build stamina, improve coordination and flexibility, and burn calories as you build lean muscle with this fun and challenging workout.

Combine kickboxing, step, BOSU, athletic drills, high-impact moves and dynamic moves and you have one high-energy cardio workout. Add some fun, motivating music and you have....Cardio Mix!
 
 
This class promises 30 minutes of heart pumping cardio, followed by 20 minutes of intense core work. A great way to burn some calories and strengthen your core all in one class!

It's a party on a spin bike, complete with a music activated disco ball! Join me for a high intensity 45-minute ride to all your favorite hip hop music from the 90's to today. Improve your aerobic endurance and push your anaerobic threshold to the max through various sprinting, climbing and jogging intervals. Bring a towel and plenty of water; you're gonna need it!

Kettlebell training is characterized by tensing the entire body and forcefully compressing the breath upon exertion. The unique shape and off-set nature of the weight provides the opportunity to work curvilinear movements, centrifugal force and momentum. Muscles are recruited throughout the entire body to control acceleration and deceleration while simultaneously providing stabilization. You will develop strength, enhance cardiovascular endurance, increase flexibility, enhance balance and improve core strength all at the same time!!!

This class combines 30 minutes of punches and kicks from traditional kickboxing and 20 minutes of the total body conditioning class that focuses on the powerhouse of your body....the core! Kickboxing plus Butts and Guts = KickButt!
 
The combination of cardio and core strength makes this a great class for beginners!
This kickboxing workout will challenge you with a full-body interval workout that incorporates kickboxing combinations and movements done with a strike bar.  It will take your kickboxing routine to the next level!
Develop new skills and a strong core in our kickboxing class. Easy-to-follow combinations of upper-body punches, lower-body kicks, blocks and athletic drills make up this energy-packed cardio workout.

Class specifically for kids ages 5-12.Kids will bounce and participate in fun fitness activities. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water bottle.

PIYO Strength is a hybrid, athletic workout inspired by the mind/body practices of yoga and Pilates, as well as the principles of sports stretch, strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement! It includes modifications for all levels of fitness. If you are looking to increase your strength, flexibility, and balance and reduce stress-then this class is for you!!! Please bring your Yoga Mat if you have one.

90 minutes of Cardio and Core work using heavy and light weights, kettle bells, and resistance bands. End the class with foam rolling to massage muscle trigger points , and prepare your muscles for deeper stretching.
 
You are welcome to bring up to 2 children (ages 5-12) to participate in this family friendly, dynamic Circuit class. Only parent(s) need to sign up. There will be no additional charge for your child or children. We will condition the heart and burn calories in this cardio training class by rotating through stations using various equipment. 55 minute Spin and Core workout! 
The secret to these mind-blowing INSANITY workout results: MAX Interval Training. Shaun T took traditional interval training and flipped it on its head—you perform long bursts of maximum-intensity exercises with short periods of rest. Each INSANITY workout keeps you constantly challenged as you alternate between aerobic and anaerobic intervals performed at your MAX. The result: burn up to 500 calories in a half hour and get the most insane body in the shortest time possible. Add Shaun T's amazing AB workout and you will burn even more calories and get ripped abs FAST!
 
This workout is not suitable for individuals with heart problems. 

This class uses both equipment and body weight for resistance to build muscle strength and endurance. A total body workout, that will vary weekly in exercises, load, and reps to keep the body challenged and the mind fresh!

This class is great for beginners, but remember, you're on a bike for 45 minutes, it's normal for your butt to be sore during or after class. Give spin 3-5 classes before you judge --it may just turn out to be your favorite!

This class combines a traditional step class with resistance training exercises that challenge every major muscle. You will work aerobic and muscular endurance and achieve a total body workout.
Build lean muscle and increase your strength in this circuit training class focused on strength drills. Rotate through stations of strength to work opposing muscle groups such as triceps/biceps, abs/back and hamstrings/quads. Class includes segments of cardio in between rounds of strength stations to drive the heart rate up, burn fat and increase both strength and endurance. Each strength circuit class is different and all fitness levels are welcome.

This kickboxing-inspired workout will challenge you with a full-body interval workout that incorporates traditional kickboxing combinations done with a weighted bar, controlled weight-bearing movements and athletic drills. It will take your kickboxing routine to the next level!
TABATA is a high-intensity class of intermittent exercises. Tabata is specific interval training with maximum repetitions for 20 seconds, and resting for 10 seconds - for a total of 10 cycles, lasting 4 minutes per exercise. This class is great to break through stubborn plateaus and bring your fitness to a whole new level!

Tabata is specific interval training with maximum repetitions for 20 seconds, and resting for 10 seconds - for a total of 10 cycles, lasting 4 minutes per exercise. This class is great to break through stubborn plateaus and bring your fitness to a whole new level!
TABATA is A high-intensity class of intermittent exercises. Tabata is specific interval training with maximum repetitions for 20 seconds, and resting for 10 seconds - for a total of 8 cycles, lasting 4 minutes per exercise. This class is great to break through stubborn plateaus and bring your fitness to a whole new level! THIS FORMAT WILL BE STRICTLY STRENGTH FOCUSED.

"A combination of strength and endurance" 10 exercises - 40 sec on - 20 sec off - 3 total sets + tough core at the end

To create the Spartacus Workout, we chose 10 exercises that collectively work every part of your body. Then we made each exercise a 60-second station so you can challenge your heart and lungs as well as your muscles. The final product is a high-intensity circuit designed to torch fat, define your chest, abs, and arms, and send your fitness level soaring. You'll sculpt a lean, athletic-looking body—and be in the best shape of your life.

Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and other International dance music and movements. The easy-to-follow dance movements combine fast and slow rhythms to tone and sculpt the body, while providing a cardiovascular workout. In this special format you will get Zumba and sculpting moves to tone your legs, butt, and core!

Rope training is a four person, dynamic workout. We will use the "battle ropes" to get a functional workout that begins at the core and extends through the outer extremities while increasing cardiovascular endurance at the same time. The ropes can be used in multiple ways to help you break through your fitness plateaus and train in a way you never have before. If you're ready for something new and for a fun challenge, then the battle ropes would be a perfect fit for you.
