When did you begin training at inFIT? I’ve been a certified trainer since 2014 and with inFIT 24/7 since 2017.
What are your specialities?
In addition to being a certified fitness professional, I am also licensed and practicing Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). I have merged my skills as a PTA and a trainer all into one. This allows me to cater to my niche of working with clients that deal with pain, orthopedic conditions or individuals that are finishing physical therapy but feel they need more guidance to progress.
What do you feel is important when working through a fitness journey?
Goals are so important. I love to hear about the individual goals that clients have to create an overall framework for progression. However, I feel that breaking those goals down and celebrating all the “small victories” along the way is crucial to keep motivation high and successfully reach those big picture goals.
What do you enjoy most about training?
I love encouraging and challenging clients to meet their goals and step outside of their comfort zone. It’s so rewarding to watch clients progress and accomplish things they didn’t know they could do.
What’re your hobbies outside of the gym?
I continue to work as a licensed and practicing PTA currently at CentraCare and was at Twin Cities Orthopedics prior to that. So during the week when I’m not at Infit I’m likely at the clinic, but in my free time I love to spend time with my friends and family including watching my daughter swim and my son play hockey. I like to get up to the cabin as much as possible to go fishing, four wheeling and hang out on the lake. A couple of my other favorites are traveling and of course- working out!
Why do you work out?
To stay as healthy as I can for both myself and my family. I think it’s so important to take care of yourself at any age to be able to do the things you want to do and age with grace!
